We’re excited to introduce our elephant herd in the mountains of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Our elephants have diverse backgrounds that have shaped their unique characteristics.. Promoting a healthy herd dynamic is important to us, which is why we welcome elephants of all ages and nurture them according to their abilities.<\/p>\n

Mae Boonsin spent most of her time alone in the forest before she arrived with us. She has been with Elephant Special Tours since 2013 and has developed wonderfully since then. Her firstborn son, Henry, came into the world in 2019.<\/p>\n

Salia was the first elephant born at Elephant Special Tours. She was born in 2006 and has grown into a lively young lady. In January 2021, her son Louis joined the world. He has a relaxed, childlike nature and enjoys exploring his surroundings. Both of them adore the local forests, especially the nearby river, where they love to bathe.<\/p>\n

Thid beautiful elephant in her mid-thirties, Mae Wanmai, has returned to our elephants after several years in other elephant projects. She has integrated well into the herd and has now found her own place within the group.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yaya has been with our camp since August 2014. She quickly found friends in the two elephant ladies, Salia and Mae Boonsin. Yaya may not be the largest female elephant, but she has a very balanced nature. Her first calf, Phu Sinan, was born in 2017, followed by her second son, Didi, in 2023. She is a very caring mother and always keeps a close eye on her little one during his adventures.<\/p>\n
